About Shouv
Hi there! I'm Shouv, and if we haven't had the chance to meet yet, I'd love to change that. You'll often find me at our local parks with my family, grabbing a coffee at our neighborhood café, or chatting with locals about what matters most to them.
As a dad, nothing matters more to me than creating a safe, welcoming community where our kids can thrive. That's why I've dedicated my career to healthcare, leading projects at Perth Children's Hospital that make a real difference for WA families. It's also why I'm actively engaged in community advocacy, because I believe we can make our corner of the world even better, together.
When my wife and I first bought our home here, we knew we'd found something special. From the friendly faces at our local shops to the beautiful bushland we're lucky to have on our doorstep, this community has given us so much. Now, as we're raising our own family here, I'm more committed than ever to giving back.
I'm your neighbor, a fellow parent, and someone who genuinely cares about the people who call this place home. I believe in rolling up my sleeves, listening first, and finding practical solutions that work for all of us. Whether it's making our streets safer, supporting local businesses, or protecting our natural spaces, I'm committed to being a strong voice for our community.
If you'd like to discuss community issues or share your ideas, please reach out via phone or email. I'd love to hear what matters most to you and your family.

My Mission
I am a local dad working to make the world a better place for my child, and for all the children in our community. This is why I worked at Perth Children's Hospital, making healthcare safer and more accessible for families across WA. It's also why I'm actively engaged as a community advocate in the City of Wanneroo: to help make our suburbs better, safer, and more connected for us and the next generation.
Faith & Community
You'll find me at our local church on Sundays, where I find strength, guidance, and a sense of community. The faith I was born into never stopped me from visiting different places of worship, and I value the company of people from different faiths and perspectives. My personal relationship with God shapes my values of service, compassion, and love for others.
As a community advocate, I'm committed to serving everyone in our community with equal respect and dedication, regardless of their beliefs. I deeply respect all faith traditions and those who choose not to follow any faith. My approach to advocacy is and always will be secular, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.
Our community is enriched by its diversity of beliefs. The gurudwara's food drives, the local temple's cultural celebrations, the church's charity work, these are just a few examples of how different faith groups strengthen our social fabric. We're at our best when we work together, respecting our differences while uniting around our shared values of kindness, generosity, and community spirit.
To me, faith isn't just about what we believe, it's about how we serve others. That's why I'm committed to building bridges between all parts of our community, because together, we can achieve so much more.
My Community Priorities
- Support families by keeping our parks, footpaths, and community facilities well-maintained and safe.
- Tackle youth crime through preventative programs such as support services, alongside practical measures like mobile CCTV in hotspot areas.
- Manage rates responsibly to ensure Council isn't adding pressure during this cost-of-living crisis.
- Work with local businesses and community groups to support growth, innovation, and job opportunities.
- Protect our natural spaces, bushland and wildlife while ensuring sustainable, balanced development.
- Ensure residents' voices are genuinely heard in every decision.
Honoring Our Veterans
I hold the deepest respect and gratitude for all current and former service personnel who have sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy today. Visiting our local ANZAC memorial is always a humbling experience, reminding us of the courage and sacrifice of those who served our nation.
As a community leader, I am committed to ensuring our veterans receive the recognition and support they deserve. This includes advocating for services that address their unique needs, preserving our local war memorials, and educating future generations about the importance of their service.
Every year on ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day, I join fellow community members in honoring the fallen and those who served. These moments of reflection remind us that the peace and prosperity we enjoy today were hard-won through the sacrifices of ordinary Australians who answered the call to serve.
I will work to ensure our veterans and their families continue to be supported and that their legacy of service is never forgotten. Their courage and dedication embody the very best of our Australian values.
My Track Record
- Working through the City's Community Safety Working Group to reduce youth crime with youth support services and mobile CCTV in hotspots.
- Tackling hooning and unsafe e-bike use as part of the city's RoadWise Advisory Group.
- Actively engaging with residents on environmental issues, listening to concerns and working towards balanced solutions that protect our native bushland and wildlife.
- Bringing people of diverse cultures and religions together through the Multicultural Advisory Group, and supporting the integration of multicultural communities into our broader society.
Honouring Local Service and Sacrifice
The following memorial plaques at our local war memorial pay tribute to the brave men and women who served our nation. Each tells an important story of service, sacrifice, and remembrance.
"Lest We Forget" - We will remember them.
